Rev. J.B. Lim

Born and raised in Vancouver, Rev. J.B. Lim is the founding and lead pastor of THRIVE Church, a vibrant, growing church community serving the Greater Vancouver area. Rev. J.B. and his wife of over 20 years Sharleen planted THRIVE Church in 2007. They began as a ministry to high school students, and have seen THRIVE Church grow into a church that nourishes, empowers and welcomes hundreds of people from all ages and backgrounds every Sunday both in person and online to experience God’s hope and to know and follow Jesus.

Rev. J.B. obtained a Masters of Divinity degree and a Masters in Ministry Leadership degree from Rockbridge Seminary, and prior to that earned his Juris Doctor law degree from Osgoode Hall in Toronto, Canada. J.B. is a pastor, a practicing lawyer, a songwriter, a worship leader, and executive producer for the band All For One Name, a worship band that leads worship at events throughout Greater Vancouver. But first and foremost, Rev. J.B. is thankful to be a child of God, a husband to a wonderful wife Sharleen, and dad to his sons Bradley and Caleb.
