Rev. Dr. Ho-Ming Tsui

Rev. Dr. Ho-Ming Tsui is Pastor of Richmond Hill Christian Community Church — a multi-generational, multi-lingual church in the Greater Toronto Area. He completed his undergraduate degree at Queen’s University, and graduate studies at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Katie, and together, they have 3 children and a semi-intelligent French Bulldog named Scout. He enjoys watching and discussing film, especially in the sci-fi realm.

Aaron Au

Pastor Aaron and his wife April are thrilled to be on the journey God has called them on as church planters. In 2013, they moved into the Alberta Avenue neighbourhood and began a house church there under the guidance of mosaicHouse Church. In 2014 they began Sunday services as Avenue Church, gathering at the Carrot Coffeeshop. God has continued to grow Avenue Church as a network of house churches throughout the city seeking to worship God and make disciples in local contexts while still having a special focus on Alberta Avenue and surrounding communities. Aaron and April are thrilled to call Alberta Avenue home and have felt so welcomed and loved in this diverse and exciting community, found in the heart of the City of Edmonton.

In addition to his other career as a professional violinist, Aaron loves sports and is a part-time chaplain of the University of Alberta Golden Bears. He is also learning the many joys and challenges of being a new Dad to one year old Ethan.

Simon Sheh

Dr. Simon Sheh is an experienced Registered Psychologist, author, and popular conference, seminar, and retreat speaker based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He specializes in the treatment of sexual and pornography addiction, anger management, pain management, recovery from extra-marital affairs, relationship and marital therapy, and Christian counselling. Dr. Sheh holds a doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta. He also received Executive Development training from York University’s Schulich School of Business in Toronto in the areas of strategic management, sales and marketing, and customer relationship management. For nine years, Dr. Sheh served in the positions of staff psychologist, service manager, and project manager at a major rehabilitation centre in Edmonton. He is knowledgeable in the management of occupational rehabilitation and motor vehicle accident injury.

Gordon Smith

Gordon joined the faculty of Ambrose when he arrived as president in the fall of 2012 – after nine years as the executive director of reSource Leadership International. Prior to that, he was the Academic Dean of Regent College, Vancouver, where he continued to teach over the years. His areas of particular interest are the nature of conversion and religious experience, spiritual discernment and effective decision-making, the sacraments and the question of calling and vocation. He is married to Joella and they have two adult sons and six grandchildren.

Tim Cook

Tim was born in Ontario, Canada and was privileged to have grown up in a missionary home. Tim's family served in the Central American country of Costa Rica and then ministered in the South America countries of Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina and Peru.  After graduating from boarding school in Quito, Ecuador, Tim returned to Canada where he received his Bachelor of Theology and Master of Missiology degrees from Canadian Bible College and Canadian Theological Seminary in Regina, Saskatchewan. Over the last 29 years, Tim has pastored at Kelowna Alliance church and then at Southgate Alliance Church here in Edmonton. Two years ago, he joined the South Edmonton Alliance Church staff and serve as the Director of the Millbourne Community Life Centre in Millwoods. It is Tim's joy to oversee 22 ministries partners whom share in this facility as they seek to share Christ and build his disciples in their community! Tim is also grateful for his three married children and their spouses. He also loves being grandparents to three wonderful grand children.
